The Press family has been involved in the logistics and shipping industry for over 90 consecutive years. In the 1920s, Carl Press, Sr. started the family’s legacy in the freight forwarding industry, in Frankfurt, Germany. The company quickly expanded and became one of the leading providers, specializing in logistics for turnkey industrial projects.
In the mid-1970s, the family launched a new endeavor, investing in heavy lift and RO/RO vessels. By 1987, the Press family was managing a diverse fleet of multi-purpose heavy lift vessels, providing liner services from the Mediterranean to Jeddah and other Red Sea ports, as well as regular sailings between France and Algeria.
Continuing the legacy, Thomas C. Press established dship as a seamless addition to the family’s existing portfolio in the logistics industry, providing highly specialized ocean transportation solutions.
